Meet Hazel N. Williams
Hazel N. Williams writes from the inside of a life fully lived. She and her husband have shared life for over four decades, building a family, raising children, welcoming grandchildren, and walking through the full weight of what long-term commitment truly asks of a person. Their journey has included joy and closeness, but also weariness, loss, misunderstanding, and seasons of sustained pressure that tested both faith and endurance.
The Holding On Together series was not born from a place of idealised certainty or easy answers. It grew from the lived experience of two people who chose, again and again, to hold on, even when walking away would have been easier.
Along the way, Hazel came to understand that what most challenges a relationship is rarely a single crisis, but the quiet accumulation of strain: responsibilities that grow heavier, circumstances that last longer than expected, and situations that cannot be quickly resolved or neatly explained. Their story is not one of perfection, but of perseverance.
Through it all, Hazel has found that faithfulness, though often unseen and uncelebrated, forms something deep and lasting when it is rooted in grace rather than performance. It is from that place that she writes: not as an authority, but as a companion to anyone who is quietly holding on and wondering if it is worth it. She believes wholeheartedly that it is, and that faithfulness, chosen day by day, can itself become an act of profound faith.
If you would like Hazel and her husband to speak at your event, facilitate a workshop, or lead a couples retreat, they would love to hear from you. Faith, Family, and Forgiveness at Our Core
The Holding On Together series was born out of more than forty years of real-life experience as a wife and mother, walking through the joys, challenges, and pressures that shape family life.
Rather than offering quick fixes or theoretical advice, these resources combine practical wisdom, faith-based insight, and structured reflection to help couples and families understand what is truly happening inside their relationships.
Many couples struggle silently when pressures build within marriage. Families can also find themselves navigating difficult seasons with children and adolescents without fully understanding the deeper dynamics at work.
Holding On Together provides guidance that helps people slow down, see more clearly, and respond with wisdom rather than reaction.
Through books, workbooks, couples retreats, and future resources, the aim is simple:
to help couples strengthen their marriage, help families restore stability, and encourage people to keep 'Holding On' during seasons when relationships feel under pressure.
